NRG SERIES: solid state relays with fieldbus interface

Access to real-time data provides cost savings and increases machine performance
Carlo Gavazzi presents the NRG series of solid state relays with fieldbus interface. It has been designed to suit any heating application where safe and accurate temperature maintenance is crucial to the quality of the final product. Typical applications are plastic injection machines, PET blow molding machines, semiconductor manufacturing, and tempered glass machines.
In this 4th industrial revolution, machine manufacturers must solve urgent problems in the short term and develop more autonomous machines. The NRG platform has been developed to suit this purpose. RG Solid State Relays have evolved to integrate monitoring and a communication interface to allow reading of variables via Modbus RTU.
Access to real-time data with the NRG series allows machine builders to differentiate their solutions by offering added value with smarter machines that ultimately provide savings for the end user. The NRG solution is very versatile as the communication interface is used for feedback only. This allows OEMs already using SSRs to easily integrate the NRG platform into existing machines with minimal effort, as the control system does not need to change to accommodate the NRG series.
