Carlo Gavazzi launches the SM series of safety modules that provide great flexibility for the safe monitoring of safety circuits in machinery, to protect personnel working in hazardous areas.
In an increasingly competitive and dynamic market, SM safety modules are the solution to rationalize the control of safety circuits in all applications and equipment that must comply with safety machine directives.
The SM safety modules are designed in Category 4 PLe , in accordance with the EN 13849-1 machinery directive. They are capable of monitoring a wide range of safety devices, such as emergency stops, safety doors and safety interlocks. In addition, SMS20 and SMS31 comply with EN81-20 / EN81-50 elevator standards, so they can monitor the safe leveling of the elevator car.
The SM series can be used in a variety of applications, helps reduce stock items and simplifies selection of the right product for the required application. Thanks to their multifunctional capabilities, SM Safety Modules are used to provide machine safety and protect operators against machine hazards, in most safety applications.
