RECOM breaks record with smallest 6W board mount AC/DC.

RECOM has launched the RACM06E-K/277, a market-leading board-mount 6W through-hole AC/DC converter, with performance that makes it ideal for a wide range of applications. Rated input voltages are 100-277 VAC (80-305 VAC, 120-430 VDC) for worldwide use, and insulation is reinforced/2MOPP for any application, from domestic to medical connection. patients.

A range of outputs is available: 3,3V, 5V, 12V, 15V and 24V, and its high efficiency, maintained up to light loads, allows operation from -40°C to 90°C ambient with a full load capacity of up to 60°C. Full protection is provided against over temperature and output short circuit and over voltage.

Safety certifications include IT/multimedia, medical, industrial and home, and class B electromagnetic compatibility specifications are met with a good margin with a “floating” charge. For medical use, the contact current is less than 0,1mA for “floating” patient connection applications and the no-load dissipation is 120mW maximum to meet eco-design requirements.

The RACM06E-K/277 is characterized by operating up to 5000m altitude in overvoltage category II (OVC II) environments according to the IEC/EN 62368-1 standard and up to 3000m for OVC III according to the IEC 61558-2-16 standard. The part is encapsulated with a plastic shell, the size of the shell is 25,6 x 25,6 x 16,6mm and the weight is only 20 grams.

“We've managed to pack extraordinary performance into this tiny AC/DC,” says Michael Schrutka, AC/DC product manager at RECOM. “It can be used in virtually any application – and it's economical too!”

Parts include a three-year warranty and samples, and OEM pricing is available from all authorized dealers, or directly from RECOM.
