RECOM expands its range of board-mount AC/DC converters
RECOM's wide range of low power AC/DC converters has been further expanded with a 30W part in a class leading package size of 1,6″ x 2″ x 1″ (40 x 52,5 x 25,5mm). The RACM30-K/277 series is highly efficient, providing 30W continuous power (36W peak) in an ambient range of -40°C to +60°C in free air and up to +90°C with derating. The extra-wide input range is 85 VAC to 305 VAC (120V to 430VDC) and the available regulated and fully protected outputs are 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, +/-12V and +/-15V, classified as "source limited feeding. Class II insulating parts are rated for overvoltage category III (OVC III) and pollution degree 3 (PD3) harsh environments up to 5000m altitude and safety certifications include audio/video, IT, test equipment, industrial, domestic and medical MOPP, with a nominal insulation of 4 kVAC/1 min. Idle/Standby dissipation meets eco-design requirements with near-flat efficiency curves up to light loads and all parts meet EMC class B standards with a large margin without external components, even with grounded outputs.
The RACM30-K/277 series uses a silicone-free package and is available as a board mount module with an industry standard pinout. Optionally, the parts are available with flying leads or as panel mount with clip fittings to allow DIN rail mounting.
Typical applications for the series include home power in electric vehicle chargers, industrial automation, lighting, IoT, medicine, and smart energy systems.
