Today we bring you the new IP Core HI-XNUMX for military and commercial avionics applications, which is certifiable by MIL-STD-XNUMX DO-XNUMX.

Holt Integrated Circuits (Holt IC), a company represented in Spain and Portugal by Anatronic, SA, announces the availability of the first MIL-STD-XNUMX DO-XNUMX certifiable IP core for military and commercial avionics applications.

The HI-XNUMX is a XNUMX commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) IP Core that comes with a complete data package with the DO-XNUMX certification.

The package includes the IP Core, developed as encrypted source code, as well as the data, test bed, and design tools required to prove that the IP Core HI-20 has been created according to the indications required to meet the objectives design guarantee DO-two hundred and fifty-four DAL A and the CAST thirty-three and AC152-XNUMXA guides.

The RTCA DO-254/EUROCAE ED-eighty (DO-two hundred and fifty-four) standard offers guidelines and recommendations for the activities that must be carried out with the intention of exceeding the design assurance objectives of complex electronic hardware (CEH) used in avionics systems.
Design Assurance Level A (DAL A), for its part, is the highest and most rigorous certification level, in which a failure is classified as a result of an unfortunate failure for the aircraft.

The IP Core HI-1 and data package have been independently inspected and successfully passed each and every Stage of Involvement – SOI audit (XNUMX-XNUMX).

In addition to this, IP Core design tools are compliant for use in avionics systems that require any level of design assurance, from DAL A (most safety critical) to DAL Y (a condition of safety). failure does not affect the operational capability of the aircraft).
“Independent reviews and approvals of our MIL-STD-XNUMX IP core and design instruments ensure compliance with each and every DO-XNUMX DAL A design assurance objective. and ensure the subsequent certification of customer systems,” says David Orinad, President and CEO of Holt.

The IP Core HI-XNUMX is based on Holt's protocol monolithic integrated circuit that is independently ratified for MIL-STD-XNUMX, specifically the HI-XNUMX and MAMBATM families, and it is fully software compatible with them.

The core supports Autobus Controller (BC), Monitor Terminal (MT) and Remote Terminal (RT) functions, with each and every option having a high-performance synchronous host interface that facilitates connection to the AMBA AXI4 interface protocol or ok PCI-Express.

Enabled terminals communicate with MIL-STD-XNUMX buses via a shared dual bus transceiver (HI-XNUMX) and an external isolation transformer, also available from Anatronic.

The HI-XNUMX is the first MIL-STD-XNUMX transceiver on the market with XNUMX/XNUMX, XNUMX/XNUMX and XNUMX/XNUMX V compatible digital I/Os and also integrates an IP security module which eliminates the need for a separate dongle chip to unlock the IP.
