Rutronik SmartCONSI: the easiest consignment warehouse management via smartphone

From now on, Rutronik customers will be able to manage their consignment warehouse in an improved and easier way with the help of a smartphone. With Rutronik's "smartCONSI" app you can scan the labels of the merchandise you remove from the warehouse. For this, several smartphones can also be used at the same time. The app sends the data directly to Rutronik's electronic data processing system and immediately generates the corresponding entries from it, so that predefined stocks are always automatically available in the warehouse. If no network (WLAN or 2G/3G) is currently available, the entries are buffered and transferred immediately when the network connection is established. The client will be able to obtain these entry records automatically if desired, for example via email or EDI, and thus can import them into their system and further process them. The information of the labels transferred by "smartCONSI" also allows the option of locating the goods and the sending of additional information, such as the current stock of the consignment warehouse. 

In this way, the costs for recording the receipt of goods in the consignment warehouse, their withdrawal and their order are considerably reduced, especially in the case of C parts. In addition, the quality of all the necessary processes is increased, since exclude incorrect entries. “With smartCONSI we offer a new proposal for warehouse management, with the aim of making the supply process of the consignment warehouse as safe and comfortable as possible for our customers”, explains Joachim Kaiser, Logistics and material management manager. in Rutronik. The only requirement for the use of smartCONSI is a smartphone. The app is based on Apple's iOS operating system and an Android version will be available shortly. The app does not require integration into the customer's IT infrastructure.
