RFID antenna with high Q and comprehensive protection for TPMS

PREMO, a leading manufacturer in the design and manufacture of low frequency antennas, extends its family of TP0702CAP transponders with a new antenna that offers higher Q value and sensitivity, specially designed for tire pressure measurement systems (TMPS).
The new TP0702UCAP series is available in five standard values 2.38mH, 4.91mH, 7.2mH, 9mH and 18.52mH at a working frequency of 125kHz. PREMO offers custom design, upon request, in an inductance range of 0.34mH-18mH. These antennas offer up to 90mV/A/m of sensitivity, the best in its size (8.50mmx2.90mmx2.70mm).
Its NiZn ferrite core with high surface resistivity allows it to offer highly stable behavior (better than +/-3%) in a wide temperature range (-40ºC to +125ºC).
The new TP0702UCAP provides superior and lateral protection thanks to its gamma-radiated Polyhexamethylene Co-polyamide polymer walls with high thermal stability and mechanical resistance (exceeds 150MPa tensile stress). Its surface mounting (SMT) allows it to be easily used in the automated assembly process on printed circuit boards, thus eliminating any manual manipulation.
The new TP0702UCAP is especially suitable for tire pressure measurement systems (TPMS) which require excellent behavior under extreme conditions, according to AEC-Q200 and additional requirements such as European regulations. It is also recommended for passive vehicle entry systems and immobilizers.
