Compact, fully functional fanless embedded computer for automation and robotics applications

advantech integrated computer

Advantech is pleased to announce the launch of the ARK-2251, a compact and fully functional fanless embedded computer powered by 3th Generation Intel® Core™ i5/i7/i13 processors. This cutting-edge system offers powerful computing power, optimized processing and real-time analysis, and features more than 19 I/O connections, making it easy to connect to a variety of sensors and devices. You can also add features like fieldbus protocols, with over 10 iDoor modules. The ARK-2251 supports wireless connections with Wi-Fi 6 and 5G modules via an M.2 slot, providing an additional layer of security and remote management capabilities through optional TPM 2.0 modules and DeviceOn software. Its slim profile, with a height of just 5,41 cm (2,13 in.), makes it ideal for various applications and environments, such as conveyor systems and autonomous mobile robots (AMR).

Ultra-slim design with extensive connectivity for easy deployment

The ARK-2251, equipped with 3th generation Intel® Core™ i5/i7/i13 processors, uses an efficient hybrid architecture to operate efficiently. Its compact, fanless design with a low profile of 5,41 cm (2,13 in.) is ideal for industrial applications with limited space and supports a wide operating temperature range. With more than 19 I/O interfaces, the embedded computer is suitable for various industrial needs. It also supports more than 10 iDoor modules to provide customizable expansion options to meet each specific integration requirement. Additionally, the ARK-2251 can incorporate an optional PoE module, which supplies up to 15 W per port (LAN 2 and LAN 3) and facilitates the powering of devices such as lighting, access points, IP cameras or other IoT units mounted on walls or ceilings and whose access to a socket is not easy. The ARK-2251 facilitates simple and flexible deployment.

Reliable, fast and secure for Edge/AIoT applications

As the number of IoT devices continues to increase, the ability to have wireless capability is crucial to processing and storing the massive amounts of data generated by cameras and sensors at the edge. The ARK-2251 meets this demand by providing Mini-PCIe and M.2 interfaces, improving flexibility for deployment in a network. The M.2 slot supports Wi-Fi 6 and 5G modules and ensures robust wireless connectivity. To improve security and efficiency in data processing, the ARK-2251 features two 2.5GbE LAN ports, ensuring output channel for Wi-Fi 6E bandwidth. It also supports AMO-IO29 TPM 2.0 modules to strengthen cybersecurity in secure and privacy-focused environments. Additionally, the ARK-2251 integrates the DeviceOn platform, perfectly compatible with Windows, Linux and Android operating systems. This platform efficiently manages various devices such as sensors, meters and GPS. DeviceOn is a highly efficient and resilient platform, and can be installed locally or in the cloud, allowing remote monitoring of devices and their power supply, troubleshooting and updates of AIoT devices, all from anywhere and whenever.
