Rohde & Schwarz presents the most compact 5GPP 3G compliance testing solutions on the market

The R&S TS8980S-4A, based on an expanded R&S CMX500, provides 3GPP compliance testing for RRM and in-band RF in a single instrument.

Rohde & Schwarz presents two new configurations for RF and RRM compliance testing in 5G. The R&S TS8980S-4A is a cost-effective all-in-one solution tailored to 3GPP in-band test cases, and the R&S TS8980FTA-3A is a one-rack solution covering all in-band and out-of-band test cases. . No other solution on the market offers the same features in such a compact format.
The R&S TS8980 is an official 5G compliance testing platform approved by the Global Certification Forum (GCF) and the PCS Type Certification Review Board (PTCRB). Chipset, modem and terminal manufacturers, as well as test centers, can perform RF (TP298) and RRM (TP296) tests with this system in accordance with 3GPP specifications. The platform also meets the testing requirements of network operators and regulatory bodies.

Rohde & Schwarz has developed two new configurations for its successful R&S TS8980 family: the R&S TS8980S-4A and the R&S TS8980FTA-3A. These solutions respond to market demands to reduce hardware and take up less space.

The R&S TS8980S-4A all-in-one solution is a fully automated conformance testing system for validated conformance test cases up to 8 GHz and 4-carrier aggregation (4 CA). This cost-effective solution is based on an expanded R&S CMX5 all-in-one 500G signaling tester (OBT) and includes 3GPP in-band RX/TX compliance, demodulation and radio resource management (RRM) test cases. Customers can also retrofit their R&S CMX500 to configure an R&S TS8980S-4A. This solution is especially attractive to 5G device manufacturers who want to perform in-band testing in-house and outsource out-of-band testing to a test center. Automation is based on the R&S Contest software platform with an intuitive graphical user interface, advanced tools for fast debugging and an advanced report manager for big data analysis and cloud services.
