Advantech announces that its Embedded Single Board Computers (ESBC) will feature the new 13th Generation Intel® Core™ processors, Intel® Core™ mobile processors, and Intel® N-series processors. The new Intel processors will provide significant performance improvements of these products, thus making them even more suitable for smart factory applications, industrial automation, computer vision, transportation, medicine, retail and distributed AI.
The new Intel processors will be integrated into 3 products from the ESBC range of 2,5” (pico-ITX), 3,5” and 4”. This update will improve the efficiency of the application in environments such as smart factories, retail, healthcare and energy management. This will in turn accelerate the development and deployment of industrial IoT around the world.
Advantech products that will incorporate the new 13th Generation Intel® Core™ processors, Intel® Core™ mobile processors and Intel® N series processors will be introduced between the third quarter of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024. The new processors will multiply up to 1,04 single-thread performance, up to 1,34 multi-thread performance, and up to 1,25 inference performance for image classification per CPU when compared to 12th Generation Intel® Core™ processors. These improvements will significantly increase the efficiency of many IoT-AI (AIoT) applications.
