OMRON Electronic Components Europe presents a new range of connectors

for printed circuit board in push-in terminal blocks that significantly improve the efficiency of insertion and removal of the connector and wiring during assembly. These products will prove invaluable in industrial automation applications such as robot controllers, AC servo drives, and CNC machines.

OMRON's new XW4M and XW4N feature a low board profile, which reduces footprint for components in designs. The connectors achieve very low insertion and removal force as well as high-quality contact reliability. They are supplied in sockets or plugs with one or two rows.

Iker Saenz, OMRON Product Marketing Director, commented: “We are very pleased to introduce these new connectors. We are sure that its small size will be beneficial to our customers' designs and will also improve the efficiency of inspection, assembly and maintenance.”

The XW4M and XW4N connectors are designed with ease of assembly in mind to eliminate human error. Wiring efficiency in these products is increased by a “hands-free” mechanism when a screwdriver is kept inserted. This saves time and reduces the risk of error, as does the clear pin numbering on the housing. A secure locking mechanism reduces the chance of cables coming loose accidentally.
