Many other additions to the motor drive and control product range include new modules from Trinamic - part of Maxim Integrated - that use the proprietary Trinamic Motor Control Language (TMCL) to provide highly detailed control.

• The TMCM-4-TMCL is a Trinamic slot-type microcontroller module developed to control up to 484 of its BLDC or stepper motor drive modules. It achieves this by means of TMCL commands, stored on the board or transferred to the microcontroller module through CAN, RSXNUMX or USB ports. It also supports additional GPIO and control functions, depending on the connected supervisor module. The TMCL language encompasses structured motion and flow control commands and provides an easy way to monitor almost all parameters of a motorized drive form.
• STMicroelectronics motor control solutions encompass low, medium and high voltage motor control applications, from less than 1200V to XNUMXV. In its product portfolio we find driver ICs, power MOSFETs, IGBTs, gate drivers, power modules and dedicated microcontrollers. It is supported by a series of reference designs and evaluation/development boards addressing all types of engines.
• In motorized drive, control is an important factor and it is highly dependent on quality feedback. In many applications, this may require the inclusion of galvanized insulation, where the ADuM7704 sigma-delta modulators from Analog Devices, Inc. can be useful. These convert an analog input to a high-speed bit stream and use iCoupler technology ® from Analog Devices to provide isolation. They can be used to accurately measure the voltage and current drawn by a motor to improve efficiency and extend operating life.
