RS Components Introduces a New Fluke Calibrator to Simplify Testing and Measurement of Industrial Control Valves

The Fluke 710 provides technicians with a simple and easy method to measure valve data and make valve maintenance decisions.
Available from RS Components is the Fluke™ 710 mA Loop Valve Tester, an easy-to-use tool that allows you to quickly measure critical valve readings with a simple two-wire connection. Traditionally, complex equipment was used to test control valves, but the use of these complicated devices has involved extensive user training, removal of the control valve to be tested, and possibly one to two hours of bench work. of trials. However, the Fluke 710 offers built-in test procedures and a highly intuitive interface that includes valve status indicators.
An important aspect is that this device provides quick checks of control valves while they are installed in a system. The equipment generates a 4-20mA current loop signal to move the intelligent control valve while simultaneously requesting HART communication protocol data to collect critical diagnostic information on valve position and status.
Consequently, technicians can make faster and more confident decisions about whether to perform maintenance and, if necessary, shut down the system. Pre-configured and installed valve test routines offered by the Fluke 710 include: manual switching of the mA signal and display of HART variable position and pressure information; ramp function for the entire range of the signal while recording the position or applied pressure that moves the valve in percentages from 0-100-0%; evaluation of the valve's response to changes in the mA input; speed tests to determine how quickly the valve can be opened or closed; and part-stroke and impact tests that help check valves over part of their range. Measurements and other test results are recorded and stored in the Fluke 710's memory from where they can be uploaded to Fluke ValveTrack™ analysis software (included). In this way, technicians can trace valve tests recorded in the field, as well as compare previously uploaded tests with more recent ones.
