RS Components promotes a solidarity action in Spain to support families of children with cancer

The company has donated 1% of the turnover collected during the days 11, 12 and 13 of March to ASION

RS Components (RS) and Allied Electronics (Allied), has undertaken a solidarity action in Spain aimed at allocating 1% of its turnover during March 11, 12 and 13 to ASION, the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer. This action has been carried out jointly with Italy and Portugal, which also contributed the same percentage of their turnover during this period to similar associations in their towns. To promote this initiative, RS not only communicated it to its customers, but also offered them a 15% discount on all their orders of any amount during these three days. The response and participation rate was higher than expected, guaranteeing the success of the action with a total contribution of six thousand euros (€6.000). ASION will allocate this amount to its rehabilitation and school reinsertion programs for children who have been ill with cancer, as well as to shelters for relatives of children undergoing treatment. The donation was delivered at a special ceremony attended by representatives of both entities. Ana Belda, Country Manager of RS Components in Iberia, has said: "Nothing pleases us more than directing our actions to this type of initiatives that seek to improve the quality of life of children with cancer and their families. We could not have foreseen such enthusiasm and motivation from our clients, showing that solidarity also exists in the industrial sector, where these types of initiatives are not so frequent.” Manuela Domínguez, General Coordinator of ASION, commented: “We feel immensely grateful for this donation, which will undoubtedly allow us to continue with our projects. These private sector initiatives, increasingly necessary and vital in these times to achieve our objectives, allow us to continue helping other mothers and fathers with children suffering from cancer so that they can overcome this difficult situation.”
