Inside tomorrow: smart solutions for a profitable future

Electronica will take place for the twenty-fifth time from November 13 to 16 (May) in Munich. More than 2500 international exhibitors will present visitors from all over the world with a wide range of products and services: from components to electronic applications and services.

The focus of the world's leading trade fair is set this year by the topics Smart Energy Solutions, e-Mobility, Embedded Solutions and power electronics. These themes are reflected not only in the exhibition, but also in the conference and the framework programme. Once again, the global economic importance of the electronics industry is clearly demonstrated by the fact that the industry meets every two years in electronica. In mid-November, Munich will once again become the meeting point for decision-makers in sectors such as electronics, automotive and medical electronics.

In twelve halls, you will find an overview of the market for new technologies and solutions: from semiconductors to sensors, passive components, printed circuit boards and system components.

As a generator of impulses, Electronica not only promotes developments, but also highlights the social relevance of electronics in all walks of life. Thus, this year the issues of energy efficiency, LED and electric mobility will be focused. Intelligent solutions are also required to ensure the stability of the energy supply in the future.

For this reason, the components for intelligent consumption measurement and control equipment, such as intelligent IED (Intelligent Electronic Device) applications, will also be presented at the event. The various aspects of network expansion and the contribution of the global electronics industry will once again be the theme of the electronica CEO Round Table on the first day of the event this year. International leaders of the sector will dialogue at the Electronics Forum, which will carry the motto "Semiconductor Solutions for Smart Grid Challenges". Among them are the CEOs of Infineon Technologies, NXP Semiconductors Germany, Freescale Semiconductor and STMicroelectronics.
