From toys to construction tools, OLogic accelerates robotic ideas from concept to production

Vicor Corporation interviews OLogic, a group dedicated to the design and development of robotics, in the podcast Vicor Powering Innovation. OLogic helps design a wide range of robotics and consumer products, as well as commercial electronic devices. Headquartered in Silicon Valley, it is made up of top-tier robotics design consultants who help leading brands and many of the most innovative startups in the robotics industry accelerate their time to market.

Robert Gendron, Vicor's Corporate Vice President of Product Development and podcast host, talks with Ted Larson, CEO of OLogic, to learn more about this design and engineering company and how it turns its ideas into robotic products, with a focus on construction of mobile robots.

Larson explains how OLogic was born. “Hasbro was our first consulting client,” Larson recalled of OLogic's early days. “We've been working on many, many projects for them over the years. We then branched out into other consumer electronics and toys, which led to bigger and bigger robots…and now lots of mobile robots.”

“OLogic is a truly innovative company in its segment that provides an outstanding service to companies that want to bring creative new ideas to market,” said Gendron. “Ted explains how the latest power conversion technology with high power density has made it easier for them to build power systems. OLogic's insights are bringing once-sci-fi concepts to life.”

Every month there is a new episode of the podcast Powering Innovation from Vicor. In it, listeners can learn about new ideas on electrification, power challenges, creative power architectures, supply chain issues and real-life challenges, among others.
