R&S ZND vector network analyzer for unidirectional and bidirectional measurements

In production of RF components it is important to maintain a high level of production while carrying out parameter measurements. S on antennas and filters. To meet this need, Rohde & Schwarz has developed the R&S ZND, a low-priced and very easy-to-use vector network analyzer.

The new R&S ZND vector network analyzer from Rohde & Schwarz has two measurement ports and its base unit is designed for unidirectional measurements from 100 kHz up to 4.5 GHz. It allows very flexible upgrades. The frequency range can be extended up to 8.5 GHz and, in addition, it is possible to equip the equipment for bidirectional measurements up to 4.5 GHz or 8.5 GHz. All these functions can be activated locally.

The R&S ZND is the perfect solution for production measurements such as the characterization of passive mobile phone components. The analyzer allows users to easily measure S parameters such as S11 on antennas or S21 on filters. It is also ideal for training tasks. The R&S ZND offers a specific dynamic range of up to 120 dB and a power sweep range of up to 48 dB. Options are also available for time domain measurements, GPIB, and an I/O handler. The large 30 cm (12.1”) touch screen and intuitive user interface make it easy to set up measurements and analyze results. All equipment functions are accessible in no more than three steps through a soft panel. The toolbar and “drag and drop” function allow users to configure the R&S ZND very quickly, while the tabs on the touch screen allow easy switching between configurations. Traces and channels can be arranged in any combination, allowing users to see results on screen very clearly, even with complex measurements.
