NI helps engineers solve big data challenges with new CompactDAQ hardware and DIAdem 2015 software

New CompactDAQ Measurement Systems with Intel Atom quad-core and USB 3.0 technology, DIAdem 2015 and DataFinder Server Edition 2015 to create smarter measurement and data management solutions

NI announced new hardware and software releases to help engineers create smarter measurement and data management solutions: new 4- and 8-slot CompactDAQ controllers featuring quad-core processing, a new 14-slot USB 3.0 CompactDAQ chassis , DIAdem 2015 and DataFinder Server Edition 2015.

With the exponential growth of engineering data, smarter software-based measurement systems help users integrate intelligence and processing at the point of acquisition, capturing only the data most needed. The new 4- and 8-slot CompactDAQ controllers feature Intel Atom E3845 1,91 GHz quad core processors, programmable with the new LabVIEW 2015 system design software, so engineers and scientists can customize their data acquisition systems. data by adding functionality such as processing, intelligence and control. The new controllers can run on Windows Embedded 7 or NI Linux Real-Time, and include 32 GB of non-volatile storage and removable SD storage for embedded monitoring applications and advanced data logging.

The new USB 3.0 CompactDAQ chassis helps you scale your measurement system for higher channel count applications without reducing transfer speeds. With 14-slot expandability and USB 3.0 streaming capabilities, the new CompactDAQ chassis and LabVIEW software manage your current data acquisition needs and can be easily adapted to meet future needs in a single system.

To make critical decisions based on data, a data management solution is paramount for big data management, analysis, and visualization. NI releases DIAdem 2015 as 64-bit software, where users can load and analyze more data than ever before. DataFinder Server Edition 2015 offers multi-step queries that can be sent to a worldwide federation of servers to find the data users need to analyze in seconds.

Key features of the new high-performance CompactDAQ controllers:

  • More than 60 sensor-specific I/O modules with integrated signal conditioning
  • Two Gigabit Ethernet and USB ports, serial RS232, trigger input, and user button
  • Integrated 1,91 GHz quad core Intel Atom processor
  • Removable SD storage for easy data access
  • Key features of the new CompactDAQ chassis with increased channel count:
  • 14 slots to integrate more C-series I/O modules in a single system
  • Data transfer speeds of over 250MB/s with USB 3.0
  • Easily scale existing NI-DAQmx code with the same software user experience as the current USB CompactDAQ chassis
  • The main features of DIAdem 2015:
  • 64-bit version to load and analyze more data within the DIAdem environment
  • Improved search capabilities to globally find specific data sets for analysis
  • New data visualizations and analysis functions
