Instrumentos de Medida, SL presents the new dynamic loads series 63800

They can simulate load conditions under high crest factor and power factors that vary with compensation in real time, even when the voltage waveform is distorted. This special feature provides real world simulation capability and prevents overloads allowing for reliable and unbiased results.

The 63800 series design uses DSP technology to simulate rectified non-linear loads with its unique RLC mode of operation. This mode improves stability by sensing the impedance of the UnderTest Unit, UUT, and dynamically adjusts the load control bandwidth to ensure system stability.

Comprehensive measurements allow you to monitor the output performance of the UUT. Additionally, current and voltage signals can be connected to an oscilloscope via the analog outputs. Optional GPIB and RS232 instrument interfaces provide remote control and monitoring and system integration. Its digital outputs can be used to control external relays to check for short circuits.

The 63800 series dynamic loads have fan speed control to ensure low noise. Diagnostic/protection functions include self-diagnostic routines and over-power, over-current, over-voltage and temperature protection.
