Home elect. industrial RS Components already has the MCU kit with the lowest energy consumption...

RS Components now has the industry's lowest power consumption MCU kit based on ARM Cortex-MO+

Silicon Labs' EFM32 Zero Gecko Starter Kit provides an excellent platform for evaluation, prototyping, and application development for the EFM32 Zero Gecko MCU family.

Silicon Labs EFM32™ Zero Gecko Starter Kit is now available from RS Components (RS) and Allied Electronics (Allied), an excellent tool for engineers to familiarize themselves with EFM32™ Zero Gecko 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs), the MCUs with the lowest power consumption on the market based on the ARM® Cortex®-M0+ processor.

The EFM32ZG-STK3200 Starter Kit contains sensors and peripherals to demonstrate some of the many capabilities of microcontrollers and can serve as a starting point for application development. The kit includes a SEGGER J-Link debugger and an advanced power control system that allows engineers to program, debug, and perform the current profile of an application in real time without the need for external tools.

Other characteristics of this kit are:

•Backup capacitor for RTC mode

•USB interface for host/device/OTG

•LESENSE (Low Energy Sensor Interface) for testing

•Light, LC (inductive) and touch sensors

•Free evaluation compiler versions

The Zero Gecko Starter Kit is compatible with the Simplicity Studio software suite, a complete graphical user interface environment for major computing platforms such as Microsoft ® Windows ®, Linux and Mac/OS X. Available with the kit free of charge, Simplicity Studio, provides developers with one-click access to all the information, documentation, energyAware tools, software, and source code libraries needed to rapidly develop energy-sensitive applications. It is available in RS Online with delivery in 24 hours.
