Advantech announces the incorporation of Alberto Prada Morales as Director of Distribution Channel for Spain and Portugal. Alberto, whose incorporation is effective immediately, is an experienced telecommunications engineer who graduated in 2008 from the University of Seville.
Alberto joins Advantech after having worked at Arrow ECS for five years. Throughout that time he contributed to generating a business volume of 20 million euros in Spain, as well as establishing contacts with more than 400 partners. Alberto has participated in the implementation of Software Defined Data Center projects for SMEs and large corporate clients in Spain and Portugal, so he has extensive experience in cloud and virtualization technologies.
According to David Ramos, Director of Advantech's Embedded group in Spain and Portugal, “Alberto is a good observer of trends in sectors such as electronics, industrial computing, and the Internet of Things. He is well aware of the huge opportunities offered by the combination from sensors, smart devices, wireless communications to cloud-based software services. Advantech, which has set ambitious targets for its European turnover in 2025, will undoubtedly benefit from his vision and experience in the market.

Alberto will help Advantech distributors and their customers implement innovative ways to improve their business through better data collection and analysis. His work base will be the office in Madrid, although he will manage the entire Iberian Peninsula to consolidate relationships with Advantech's partners and customers. Alberto Prada Morales, a family man and sports fan, has two children; in 2014 he successfully completed the Madrid marathon.
