Build a switch using capacitive sensing with the help of the Microchip PICkit 2 Debug Express
By Marcel Flipse, Microchip Technology

Microchip's PICkit™ 2 Debug Express is a small kit comprising a Development Board and a Debugger. It has everything the user needs to develop a small project. The design featured in this issue is a capacitive switch, built with only a couple of passive components. The switch is implemented using Microchip's mTouch™ technology. Microchip currently offers a number of diverse hardware solutions to suit the demands of any application, from the most basic (one-touch control) using the small PIC10F to a mid-range peripheral with the PIC24FJ family of MCUs.
