RF amplifier for DRM reception

In the article on the design of a "DRM Digital Receiver for the 49 m band" published in No. 616 of this magazine, a front unit for DRM reception is developed. For its correct operation, this unit requires that the received signal present, in the receiving antenna, a Ps/Pn]i ratio high enough for the demodulator to have a Ps/Pn]o³15dB ratio at its input and, in this way , the program performs the correct demodulation. To simplify the notation we will use from now on for the noise power the letter “N” and for the signal power the letter “S”.
