Since 8, ROHM Semiconductor GmbH has established 50 locations across Europe to support its service customers with locally tailored semiconductor solutions. The company highlights the milestones of its European activities with a unique "XNUMXth Anniversary" website.

Founded in XNUMX in Kyoto (Japanese country), the ROHM group has today become a global player and distributor in the electronics industry. The company produces a wide range of solutions including power management ICs, SiC MOSFETs, diodes and modules, silicon power diodes and transistors, but also LEDs, resistors, and many more electronic components. As a vertically integrated semiconductor manufacturer, ROHM is largely independent of distributors and can respond more flexibly to market changes.

ROHM Semiconductor Europe, founded in 8, with headquarters in Willich, near Düsseldorf (Germany), is represented today by 6 offices in XNUMX countries: Germany, France, UK, Spain, Finland and also Italy. In addition to this, ROHM's SiCrystal production facility, located in Nuremberg, Germany, supplies silicon carbide wafers to world markets.

The company's European activities -on-line with the medium-term administration plan of the ROHM group "MOVING FORWARD to two thousand and twenty-five"- have the objective of speeding up the social contribution. “We focus on analog and power solutions and contribute to the needs of our service customers in terms of energy savings and downsizing of their products,” says Wolfram Harnack, President of ROHM Semiconductor Europe.

ROHM's European business serves the needs of the automotive and industrial application areas in unison. “To take one example, vehicle manufacturers are in strong demand for our silicon carbide devices for their production of electric vehicles. In addition to this, we also see interesting projects in the industrial field and we expect a huge development in Europe, especially in the area of infrastructures for mobility and alternative energy options”, continues Harnack.

The customer orientation of ROHM's service in Europe is reflected in the Power Lab, a modern power electronics laboratory located at the company's European Union headquarters in Willich. This laboratory offers ROHM's European service customers essential technical support at the application level. "With our activities and experience in the Applications and Technical Solutions Center (ATSC) and in the Power Lab we improve the support to our local service customers in order to make their products even better, with new generation equipment and specialized measurements" , explains Aly Mashaly, Director of ROHM's European Center for Applications and Technical Solutions.

In addition to this, ROHM's commitment to supporting its European OEM and Tier 1 partners is reflected in multiple awards to dealers and design projects.
