With the RI58-H incremental encoder, Hengstler offers the ideal solution for small building spaces

The Hengstler RI58-H incremental encoder with continuous hollow shaft and synchronous flange clamping is easy to mount, requires little construction space and achieves high precision thanks to the integrated shaft coupling.

With its synchronized flange clamping and internal coupling element, Hengstler's RI58-H hollow-shaft universal incremental encoder can be mounted flexibly and is particularly robust, even for harsh applications. The encoder is suitable for use in machine tools, CNC axes and textile machines, for example, due to its high impact resistance [100 g = 1000 m/s² (6 ms)]. The risk of assembly errors is greatly reduced.

In order to eliminate as much as possible the concentricity tolerances common to hollow shaft encoders, Hengstler uses an integrated double cardan shaft coupling with centrally mounted star washer for the RI58-H. This special design ensures precise displacement of the parallelogram and high signal accuracy, which is critical for applications requiring high absolute accuracy with high resolution. In addition, the synchronized flange mounting allows the user to synchronize the zero point completely freely.

The RI58-H incremental encoder can be used on shafts with diameters up to 12 mm and has a line number of 1 to 5000. The individual components of the encoder are laser-welded and therefore particularly durable. Thanks to the operating temperature range from -10 to +70 °C and the isolated Opto-ASIC technology, the rotary encoder can also be used in harsh environments.
