Würth Elektronik presents with the WCAP-FTXH THB X2 series a new family of safety capacitors for the suppression of radio interference in mains filters. All components in this series are certified according to ENEC 10, cULus and CQC, and belong to safety class X2 according to IEC 60384-14. What especially distinguishes these capacitors designed for a nominal voltage of 310 V is their resistance to heat and humidity. For example, they pass a 1.000 hour test at 85°C and 85% relative humidity at rated voltage. The operating temperature range is from -40 to +110°C.
The WCAP-FTXH family of capacitors has self-regenerative properties thanks to its polypropylene dielectric. If short-circuits occur in the component, they manage to eliminate the defects caused and thus once again guarantee an intact dielectric.
Film capacitors are available in 21 different options based on their values from 33 nF to 10 µF, dV/dt ratios, and insulation resistances. Depending on the different capacities, the components have different sizes with pitches between pins ranging from 15 mm up to 37,5 mm.
