Phoenix Contact advances in its corporate action to protect the climate

protect the climate

Phoenix Contact has taken responsibility to act now to prevent global warming and also drive the energy revolution. For this, the corporate strategy is based on the principle of the "All Electric Society", the vision that enough energy can be produced from renewable sources to stop global warming through the integral electrification of the planet. Phoenix Contact is aligning its portfolio of components and solutions with this principle and is thus empowering industries to help save time through digitalization.

To further its active role on the road to the energy and climate revolution, Phoenix Contact has become a corporate sponsor of the Foundation 2° initiative. This initiative, founded by Dr. Michael Otto (Otto Ensemble Hamburg, Germany), aims to encourage politicians to establish efficient market-oriented framework conditions for time protection. “We are incredibly pleased that Phoenix Contact has become a corporate sponsor of the Foundation 2°. The technologies that emanate from electromobility, renewable energies and smart buildings are going to be essential factors in reducing carbon emissions in vital areas of the economy and society in general in the near future”, said Sabine Nallinger, President from Foundation 2°, adding: “Phoenix Contact is fully convinced that companies should actively campaign for climate neutrality and thus give a case to others. This includes a clear commitment from the company's management team."

Phoenix Contact CEO Frank Stührenberg agrees with this obligation. “The technical dimensions of the climate and energy revolution transform challenges into exceptional occasions. The vision of the All Electric Society responds to each and every one of the key questions of our future, since carbon neutral energy will be the key factor in reconciling weather protection and global prosperity. Phoenix Contact is at the forefront of this movement, empowering its partners and service customers. Our cooperation with Foundation 2° is a further step in this direction."
