New UAT 978MHz option for the IFR6000/6015

Adler Instrumentos presents the new 6000OPT05 option for the most widely used transponder tester on the market (IFR6000) from Aeroflex that will allow verification, both in maintenance and installation tasks, of the information transmitted on 978MHz (ADS-B/TIS-B and FIS-B) on aircraft flying below 18.000 feet

The Universal Access Transceiver (UAT) uses a data link that supports ADS-B, as well as TIS-B and FIS-B as part of the new NEXTGEN standard. ADS-B transmits the aircraft ID, altitude, operational position both on the ground and in flight, and circumstantial details to the cockpit. TIS-B is a traffic information system, and FIS-B provides flight information, including weather information and terminal information. All of these help pilots fly more safely and save cost. These transceivers (UAT) will also be installed in ground support equipment (fuel trucks, emergency equipment,...) and their verification will also be necessary.

The IFR6000 will allow the verification of each of the UAT functions independently:

• Simulation of positional data TIS-B, FIS-B and ADS-B.

• Reception, capture and decoding of ADS-B transmissions from the UAT transceivers on board the aircraft.

• On-screen presentation of the address AA ICAO, LAT/LONG of the transmitting aircraft.

• Possibility of generating up to 5 intruders (Position, ID, course and distance modifiable)
