LabVIEW NXG 1. Three decades of innovation.

Today we have witnessed one of those days that will mark the history of NI. Along with the introduction of CompactRIO, VST, and other flagship NI products, May 23, 2017 will be remembered as the birth of the new LabVIEW NXG 1.0.
LabVIEW NXG does not come to replace the traditional versions of LabVIEW, but it tries to offer a new graphical work environment facilitating the programming start-up tasks for developers and researchers. LabVIEW NXG version 1.0 unfortunately does not cover all the hardware and drivers of its big brother LabVIEW 2017 but it does start down the road with support for DAQ data acquisition modules. NI is already working on the new versions of LabVIEW NXG and in a short period of time all the hardware modules manufactured by NI will be available. Both for expert programmers and for engineers new to LabVIEW, this new version is exciting and very powerful, since with a few clicks you can access the installed hardware and sensors and in a matter of seconds you can visualize the data provided by these sensors.
LabVIEW NXG is freely distributed under the LabVIEW 2017 license and it is the end user who decides which environment to use for their project.
NI equips engineers and scientists with systems that accelerate productivity, innovation, and discovery.
Technology moves exponentially and much faster than our ability to understand or adapt to this evolution. A phone is no longer a phone, it is a complex system that is made up of many communication elements, sensors, and in the same way, a car is a super computer on wheels. Autonomous driving technology is evolving by leaps and bounds, as is the world of communications. 40 companies in a coalition have decided to accelerate the implementation of 5G systems. For all this to be possible, it is necessary to use an ecosystem that combines all the specialties that are necessary for the evolution of these advances. This test and measurement platform is LabVIEW
A new evolution in automated test systems
Wireless technology is advancing by leaps and bounds. Early phones supported a couple of protocols and frequencies, but today they support dozens of different communication methods at different frequencies. All the necessary tests for the integration of all these subsystems have been carried out by the most brilliant researchers in the world thanks to the LabVIEW platform. The biggest advantage of this proforma is the speed with which the tests are carried out and its flexibility to make changes dynamically.
6G technology is already being investigated by part of DARPA research projects. Darpa has started the Spectrum Collaboration Challenge in order to provide a solution to the tangle of frequencies that are currently used. More than 30 teams and with prizes of more than 3 million dollars, teams of developers and researchers from all over the world, try to optimize the communications spectrum. wspectrumcollaborationchallenge.com
Three decades of FlexRIO innovation with the introduction of FlexRIO. Guess there will be a team introduction. To ask.
Luke Schreier Automated director of the test and measurement area has presented the new products FlexRIO, NI-DAQmx support for PYTHON, Flexible resolution nanovoltmeter and the new Thunderbolt PXI remote controller. In addition, the new PXI equipment, oscilloscopes, wave generators and clock and synchronism generators have been presented.
Leo McHugh of analog devices manufacturer of electronic components helps this industry to be able to guarantee the quality of all the products they manufacture. NI automated test environments ensure this product quality by reducing the cost and time of testing processes. From characterization and validation to automated test processes in production to test equipment in production lines with basically the same software integration.
NI now offers the standardization of its equipment with the possibility of offering a complete rack product that includes a cabinet, equipment, protections, power supplies, etc. fully customizable to customer needs. Through the web, the client can choose the modules that make up the chassis, their order, panels, sources, etc. obtaining a purchase order, which will be sent in two weeks. Thanks to this new service, NI customers obtain great added value in the rack configurations of their equipment.
