Configurable computing architectures and applications

Configurable systems, preferably developed in the last decade, have been established as an alternative architecture for a more optimal implementation and subsequent execution of certain algorithms. These algorithms are normally characterized by a series of peculiarities and restrictions that allow a more efficient use of the possibilities offered by configurable systems. The following is intended to provide a description of the generic characteristics of this type of systems, as well as the most suitable algorithms for their development on them. Likewise, we will proceed to describe some systems put into practice in recent years, which have obtained very promising results in certain fields of application.
