Yokogawa Test & Measurement adds new features to the new generation of ScopeCorder DL950:

  • Yokogawa's latest ScopeCorder now offers flash acquisition as well as new real-time calculation functions, further enhancing its already outstanding versatility.

Yokogawa Test & Measurement has added new features to its latest ScopeCorder DL950, enhancing its data acquisition capabilities and adding firmware-upgradable features.

Thanks to the new Flash Acquisition function, long time data can be captured with high-speed sampling rate of 20MS/sg(8CH) and 10MS/sg(16CH), which is 100 times faster than the previous model.

This optional Flash memory feature makes the DL950 ideal for capturing data at high sample rates anywhere a PC is not suitable, such as in a vehicle or remote location.

Applications for this new acquisition feature could include recording control signals and trending temperatures or vibrations simultaneously in confined spaces, such as inside a car or train.

Other uses could include recording control signals or power generated/consumed in harsh environments, such as spaces close to generators in a power plant or confined spaces in a manufacturer's production facility.

In these applications, the unit would normally need to be turned off before moving it to an office to save the data to a PC.

Flash memory is non-volatile, so captured data remains stored on the instrument even after power off. Available as an option on newer purchases of the DL950 ScopeCorder, the feature can also be purchased as a retrofit kit to retrofit existing instruments.

The other big news for the DL950 is a new firmware version. It adds new functions that allow GPS data to be acquired with the existing /C35 option. Data includes time, latitude and longitude, altitude, speed, and direction.

The new firmware also adds new real-time calculation functions to the existing /G03 or /G05 option. These functions are CAN ID, IIR filter, angle calculation, turning angle, resolution and power calculation.

New attenuation ratios have also been added for the voltage and current probes.

“With these new updates to the DL950, the already excellent ScopeCorder family reaches new levels of data acquisition speed and greatly improved usability,” said Terry Marrinan, Vice President of Marketing, Yokogawa Test & Measurement.

"These new features further expand the versatility of this leading data logger, ensuring that users have the options they need to perform measurements in a wide variety of applications."
