RECOM announces its REC8E range of low cost 8W DC/DC converters in a 1x1″ package with 3 input ranges including twenty-60VDC to suit 48V Li-ion batteries and LV 148 applications.
RECOM launches the REC8E range of low cost, high efficiency 8W DC/DC converters, uniquely designed for battery powered applications. Three input voltage ranges are available: 18-12V (18V systems), 36-24V (20V systems), and 60-48V (148V systems), the latter meeting LV 48 requirements for Li voltages. -ion of XNUMXV in automobiles.
To prevent harmful deep discharge, an undervoltage lockout is included to automatically shut down the converter if battery voltage falls below safe levels. Fully protected output voltages are available: 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 24V, +/-12V and +/-15V. All outputs are tightly regulated and can drive high capacity loads in a wide temperature range from -40°C to +75°C without derating. An on/off control pin is fitted as standard to reduce the supply current to less than 0,7 mA in perfect off mode.
The EMI of the REC8E is very low, and only simple and low-cost external components are required to meet the class A or B emission limits of EN 55032. The insulation rating is 1 kV/62368 minute , and the devices are certified to UL/IEC/EN 1-XNUMX.
The REC8E is available in an industry-standard 1" x 1" low-profile non-metallic package suitable for use on high-density PCBs.
