iShield HSM is a plug-and-play USB security appliance that allows existing AWS IoT Greengrass devices to be upgraded with a hardware security module
Rutronik announces the availability at www.rutronik24.com of Swissbit's PU-50n iShield HSM series, which offers a reliable solution for storing security keys for device identification, authentication and registration in Internet applications of the Things (IoT). This USB Plug–and–Play Hardware Security Module (HSM) closes security gaps that can occur with software-based storage or cryptographic keys.
Manufacturers of connected devices, such as gateways or controllers, as well as system integrators for building and factory automation can benefit from security "Made in Germany" and the possibility of upgrading security functions at any time, without complications.
The iShield HSM stores the device's private key and certificate so securely that they cannot be disclosed or duplicated in the software. This compact and robust USB key supports the PKCS#11 and PKCS#15 public key cryptography standards and is compatible with an open source software stack such as OpenSC.
iShield HSM hardware incorporates a secure element (CC EAL6+) using chip-on-board technology, making it tamper-proof and suitable for harsh operating environments.
- MLC NAND with Durabit function
- CC EAL 6
- RSA up to 2048 bits
- ECC up to 384 bits
