New Intrexis DC/DC converters for rail applications

Kolbi launches the new range of Intrexis DC/DC converters with an ultra-wide input voltage range, capable of working at maximum power of 100% at a Tx of +85ºC and starting at -50ºC. .
Kolbi has recently expanded its catalog of shipped material for the railway industry with the Swiss brand Intrexis. Intrexis primarily manufactures DC DC converters for on-board applications with the quality and regulatory standards required by the rail industry. The Intrexis converter platform sets new limits for high-performance DC/DC converters with power ratings from 50 to 500 W and output voltages of 5, 12, 15, 24, 48, and 52 VDC. All Intrexis units are equipped with all necessary filters and comply with EN50155.
What makes Intrexis converters different from other DC DC converters?

  1. “Ultra-wide” input voltage range from 10 to 1, between 14.4 and 154Vdc. A single reference covers all the battery voltages of the EN 50155 railway standard: 24V, 36V, 48V, 72V and 110V without changing equipment.
  2. Extended temperature range Tx -40 to +85ºC, starting at -50ºC and 100% power at +85ºC and without the need for fans. Valid for applications anywhere in the world and without loss of power.
  3. High performance, up to 96% at 110V and 92.5% at 24V on input.
  4. Compliance with railway regulations EN50155 and EN45545. With 3000 Vac galvanic isolation, active input current limitation, 10 ms hold-up time, and an extremely low weight of 1.3 kg for the 500 W unit, the new Intrexis drives meet the highest quality standards. and are suitable for the most demanding railway applications.
