Mouser Electronics today announces the next chapter of its award-winning Driving Innovation Together™ program. The new episode explores the business use case of non-public 5G networks for industrial IoT deployments, which can be independently owned, managed and secured using 5G New Radio (NR) Release 16.

5G NR offers licensed and unlicensed spectrum in the sub-1 GHz, sub-6 GHz, 24-29 GHz, and 37-43 GHz bands. Through unlicensed spectrum as General Authorization Access (GAA) from Citizens Broadband Radio Services (CBRS) in the 3550-3700 MHz (3,5 GHz) band, organizations can take advantage of a seemingly limitless mix of IoT applications without spending time or money on licenses. The episode on private 5G networks is sponsored by Amphenol RF, Analog Devices, Intel®, Molex, RECOM and Xilinx.

With a new episode of the Technology Among Us podcast, a new video of Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, and other exclusive content, Mouser offers audiences a deeper dive into case studies and real-world examples of non-public 5G networks for industrial deployments, which make protected data available to users on-site and improve application latency in industrial facilities.

"In an ecosystem of continuously connected technologies, private 5G networks can transfer sensitive data in a secure environment at high speeds," said Glenn Smith, president and CEO of Mouser Electronics. "With the content shared on the latest episode of Driving Innovation Together, we hope our fans will gain new-found insights into how best to leverage private 5G networks in low-latency industrial applications."

Technology Among Us welcomes Gilad Garon, Founder and CEO of ASOCS, for a lively conversation. The podcast episode is available on the Mouser website, on Alexa, on Apple Podcasts, on Google Podcasts, on iHeartRadio, on Pandora, and on Spotify.

"I hope listeners enjoy my conversation with Raymond as much as I do," says Garon. “5G brings mobile technology to software that allows for an incredible amount of customization. Private 5G networks allow administrators to easily create and manage secure, super-fast and reliable connectivity tailored to the needs of their organization.”
