The largest Embedded World closes with new records

Once again, the Embedded World fair has confirmed its prominent role in the embedded systems community. This year's event has broken new attendance and participation records after 3 days of congress: 30.063 trade visitors (+17%), around a third of whom were from outside Germany, and 939 exhibiting companies (+4%) from 38 countries.

It is the number 1 international meeting place for all aspects of embedded system technologies. Just as successful, and offering even more participants, have been the Embedded World and Electronic Displays conferences: 1.666 experts from all over the world came to the Nuremberg fairgrounds to enjoy professional knowledge exchange at the highest level. “The fourteenth edition of the Embedded World has once again impressed with a larger exhibition area and a greater number of exhibitors and visitors. There was also an increase in the international contingent www. embedded-world.de nal. The amount of potential here is extraordinary. The 939 exhibitors from 38 countries represent the highest participation rate to date, and a higher participation rate is expected to be achieved in this highly innovative sector. We are particularly pleased with the exceptional engagement from event visitors.

The 30.063 trade visitors from all over the world confirm the importance of the fair and its congresses for the “Embedded” community, said a delighted Richard Krowoza from the NürnbergMesse Management Team. Highly satisfied exhibitors at Embedded World 2016 The mood in the halls was very good thanks to trade visitors on the one hand and exhibiting companies on the other. Both groups brought together the kind of people they needed for productive dialogue and new projects. All this was also confirmed by our exhibitor survey, in which, for example, 93% of the exhibiting companies rated the event as a success. In the atmosphere there was the feeling that almost all companies would repeat in the Embedded World of 2017.

Meanwhile, 94% were able to forge new business opportunities. Furthermore, 97% confirmed that they were able to reach their target groups. Positive reception by visitors The visitor survey conducted by an independent institute also highlighted the mood in the corridors. Almost without exception, trade visitors were satisfied with the content of the event and the range of products on display. Nine out of ten of the 30.063 professional visitors are involved in the purchasing decisions of their companies. This is further proof of the great importance of the fair for the Embedded community. This is also demonstrated by the fact that around 94% of the respondents would recommend Embedded World to their contacts and colleagues, while 96% would visit the new edition of Embedded World 2017.

Embedded Worlds focuses on IoT and safety and security aspects In 2016, the theme of the Embedded World was once again “We are the Internet of Things”, but the event also focused on the equally important issue of safety and security. The development of the Internet of Things requires specialized knowledge in basic disciplines such as microprocessors and software development, systems engineering or management. Not only in the keynote address by Eugene Kaspersky, but also in numerous sessions and presentations, the focus was on the security of embedded systems. Renowned experts presented protection solutions, and showed how security can be systematically planned and installed at different levels.
