Arrow Electronics, a global technology solutions provider, and its engineering services company, eInfochips, have announced the expansion of its Automotive Center of Excellence (CoE) in Egypt to assist customers in the development of latest generation products.

Arrow's Automotive CoE addresses the opportunities and helps solve the challenges of communication, autonomous and electrification technologies in the automotive industry. The complexities associated with the adoption of these emerging technologies, including lack of in-house engineering staff with up-to-date competencies, strict cybersecurity compliances, and complex high-voltage designs, pose challenges for innovators.

In this context, the recent acquisition of Avelabs by Arrow, a leading provider of engineering services for the automotive industry, further expands the capabilities of the CoE. Headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, with offices in Munich, Germany, and Troy, Michigan, USA, Avelabs helps automotive OEMs and Tier 1 companies accelerate product development. , with its extensive experience in AUTOSAR (Automotive Open Systems Architecture), functional safety and cybersecurity.

With this increase in capabilities, Arrow's CoE aims to guide innovators through the complexities of automotive electronics design.

“The migration toward electric, autonomous and connected vehicles will accelerate electronic content in cars as well as spending on engineering services,” explains Rick Marano, president of Arrow's global components business. “The automotive CoE in Egypt, enhanced by our acquisition of Avelabs, complements and expands our existing engineering services offered by Arrow and eInfochips. “This will further strengthen the value proposition for our customers and suppliers in the transportation segment.”
