Mouser Electronics Supports the Next Generation of Engineers as a Co-Sponsor of the FIRST Robotics Championship

Mouser Electronics is pleased to continue to co-sponsor the robotics competition FIRST®, that inspires innovation and fosters balanced life skills for tens of thousands of young people each year. Mouser will be the exclusive sponsor of the Hall of Fame in the championship FIRST® of 2023, which will be held between April 19 and 21 in Houston. The "Hall of Fame" honors the winning teams of FIRST of the coveted Impact Award, which rewards teams that best exemplify the goals and values ​​of FIRST.

"Since our founding, education has been a key facet of Mouser's mission," said Kevin Hess, Mouser's executive vice president of marketing. «It is an honor to once again sponsor the Hall of Fame of the Robotics Championship FIRST, a contest we have supported for a decade. The organization offers students from around the world a platform for innovation, an opportunity to gain valuable engineering skills, and a chance to develop character and self-esteem.”

Since 2014, Mouser has been a major supporter of FIRST (Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), a leading nonprofit youth-serving organization that promotes science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education through hands-on programs of robotics. Mouser sponsors virtual and on-site contests for FIRST local, regional, state and international levels. During the 2022-2023 season of the Robotics Competition FIRST, nearly 100 high school students from more than 000 teams from around the world learn, discover, and solve engineering challenges through a series of robotics events. Mouser was a major co-sponsor of the recent FIRST® at the Texas/UIL State Robotics Championships, in Houston, Texas. Mouser also supports teams FIRST community by awarding grants to local high school teams.
