QPL 25A electromechanical power relays meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-83536 and ISO-9001 certification.
Microchip is committed to providing innovative and robust products that are designed to deliver high mission-critical performance in the most demanding environments. Microchip Technology today announces its BR235 and BR235D series of 25A QPL hermetic electromechanical power relays, which meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-83536 and ISO-9001 certification. These new series of power relays have been specifically designed for critical missions in commercial aviation, defense, and space applications. These devices offer reliable supply along with global technical support, ensuring that aerospace and defense customers enjoy the reliability and long-term warranty they need for their missions.
The series provides 25A in a 3PDT configuration and is available in a variety of versions for design flexibility. Options include suppressed or unsuppressed coil voltages of 6–48 V.CC and 115 VCA, mounting with or without tabs in different orientations, straight or J-shaped terminals, and tin or gold plating.
Microchip's BR235 and BR235D series relays are the benchmark for high-reliability relays, providing exceptional performance in extreme environments, including vibration tests up to 30G and mechanical shock tests up to 200G. The relays are also designed to withstand temperatures from −70°C to 125°C.
“Microchip understands the urgent need of the aerospace and defense industries for a consistent and reliable supply of high-reliability relays. Our BR235 and BR235D relays are designed to achieve the highest levels of reliability and performance for critical missions,” said Leon Gross, corporate vice president of Microchip’s Discrete Products Group. “While other suppliers shift priorities or limit support, Microchip remains steadfast in its commitment to consistently providing reliable solutions that meet our customers’ challenges.”
Microchip has over 60 years of experience in the aerospace industry and offers a broad portfolio to the aerospace and defense market consisting of microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs, and power management and timing solutions designed to meet the demanding requirements of aviation, military, and space.
