Solid State Drives (SSDs) NVMe and the company's 24G SAS have been successfully tested with Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) solutions for Windows Server 2022

KIOXIA Europe GmbH announced that its KIOXIA CM6 and KIOXIA CD6 series of PCIe Solid State Drives (SSDs)® 4.0 NVMe™ and its KIOXIA PM6 series of 24G SAS solid-state drives (SSDs) have earned Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) certification for Windows Server 2022. This designation allows solid-state drives ( KIOXIA SSD) are used with Windows Server 2022 SDDC solutions that use Storage Spaces Direct. Certification testing was conducted by Microsoft to ensure the compatibility and performance of KIOXIA Solid State Drives (SSDs).

Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct is a feature of Windows Server that creates a software-defined storage solution that combines solid-state drives (SSDs) in clustered servers and enables sharing of storage resources across converged and hyper-converged IT infrastructures. Users can expand storage capacity by adding more drives or more servers in the cluster. Storage Spaces Direct automatically brings in the new drives and rebalances the storage pool.

Paul Rowan, Vice President of SSD Marketing at KIOXIA Europe GmbH: “The advancement of software-defined data centers requires the right storage solutions. KIOXIA strives to constantly improve its previous technology and can offer them. Our solid-state drives (SSDs) based on BiCS FLASH™ 3D flash memory technology together with our SSD controller technology offer performance enhancements and reliable, cost-effective solutions to our customers.”
