Harwin's award-winning engineering design team developed this new compact mezzanine connector in response to the growing demand for even smaller and lighter solutions. The Archer .5 range, specially designed for applications with little available space, is perfect for connecting cards, batteries or printed circuit boards. Its applications include compact control and monitoring equipment, embedded computing, sensor modules, camera/Lidar units, and IoT-connected devices.
Like the Archer .8, these new 0,5mm pitch connectors meet all the technical requirements expected by electrical designers of modern industrial equipment. The materials are RoHS and REACH SVHC compliant and are halogen free. They have been designed without compromise and incorporate 30, 40, 80 and 100 pins with a very small pitch, but each contact is still capable of carrying 0,5A current. The working temperature range is from -55°C to 85°C and its board-to-board stacking height is 8mm.
Archer .5 is reliability and security by design, as are all Harwin products. Its polarization characteristics ensure correct orientation and alignment to prevent connection errors; In addition, its coverage protects the contacts against accidental damage.
