Mouser Electronics, Inc., is now distributing the new low-power PIC32CM PL10 microcontrollers (MCUs) from Microchip Technologies, featuring the Arm® Cortex®-M0+ core. The PIC32CM PL10 series offers a balanced combination of performance, energy efficiency, and peripherals for industrial, smart building, consumer, and sensor applications.
Microchip Technologies' PIC32CM PL10 MCUs, available from Mouser, are an attractive option when upgrading from an 8-bit to a 32-bit MCU. The PIC32CM PL10 family features a pin configuration compatible with 8-bit AVR Dx microcontrollers, allowing users to easily switch from hardware designs intended for AVR MCUs. All of these microcontrollers include familiar peripherals available on 8-bit MCUs, such as Multi-Voltage I/O (MVIO), Configurable Custom Logic (CCL), and Event Systems (EVSYS). This reduces the amount of components required and the board size, enabling smaller, more cost-effective designs. Furthermore, the combination of 5V operation and integrated analog peripherals—such as a Touch Peripheral Controller (PTC), Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), and analog comparators—contributes to the robustness and noise immunity of these Microchip PIC32CM PL10 microcontrollers.
Mouser also offers the Microchip EV10P22A Curiosity Nano evaluation kit, a demonstration and development platform for evaluating the PIC32CM PL10 microcontroller. With the evaluation kit's integrated debugger/programmer, no external tools are required. Microchip's free software (MPLAB® Tools for VS Code® and MPLAB Harmony) provides an intuitive graphical user interface for configuring the device and all integrated peripherals.
