The 59th edition of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) welcomed more than 450 international participants at more than 50 events. Rohde & Schwarz supplied six of its R&S QPS Walk2000 security scanners, one at each entrance. With more than 20 scans in three days, the company was instrumental in ensuring a secure environment during MSC 000.

The R&S QPS Walk2000 is a unique 360° walk-through security scanner that enables fast, contactless screening of people and is capable of detecting objects of any material without the limitations of traditional walk-through metal detectors. The scanner also works with multiple layers of clothing and allows you to maintain a natural walking posture, which makes going through control much more comfortable for attendees. Thus, it constitutes a reliable and efficient solution, especially for exclusive events.

The system operates with non-invasive radiation that, despite its extremely low power, perfectly penetrates several layers of clothing. In this way it is not necessary to remove clothes such as coats or jackets, which saves inconvenience and time. Detection software based on artificial intelligence (AI) automatically identifies objects of all types of materials. Results are accurately displayed in real time on a non-binary avatar and with LED bands, minimizing the need for additional checks and providing maximum privacy protection.

Rohde & Schwarz is proud of its contribution to the Munich Security Conference and looks forward to providing outstanding security solutions for other exclusive events.
