Ideal for digital multimeters with 5560-digit resolution, Fluke Calibration's 6,5A is complemented by the new 5550A (5,5-digit) and 5540A (4,5-digit) Multi-Product Calibrators, enabling labs to increase accuracy , reduce costs and increase the
space available on the workbench.

Fluke today introduced the Fluke 5560A High Performance Multi-Product Calibrator, which enables you to take on more electrical tasks with maximum accuracy.

Filling the market demand for high-end multi-product calibrators, the 5560A builds on Fluke's product line as the 5730A High-Precision Multifunction Calibrator, designed to calibrate digital multimeters with 8,5-digit resolution. The 5560A is an ideal solution for calibrating digital multimeters up to 6,5 digits.

A new class of multi-product calibrator

With the demand for calibration growing year after year, the Fluke 5560A defines a new class of multi-product calibrator for new and inexperienced users who come to the world of calibration without much training. Key features of the Fluke 5560A include a large 7-inch touch screen with intuitive operation, Visual Connection Management™ terminals, and an optional accessory for efficient digital multimeter calibration with little or no wiring changes. This robust and portable calibrator can also be automated with MET/CAL™ calibration management software.

Among the main benefits that the 5560A offers users are minimal training and reduced maintenance, along with the ability to calibrate a greater number of pieces of equipment using a single calibrator. All of this contributes to significantly lowering the cost of ownership for calibration labs. The 5560A is also protected against costly damage caused by input voltages or overloads.

In its effort to bring the next generation of advanced instrumentation to calibration labs, Fluke Calibration has also introduced the 5550A Multi-Product Calibrator, which improves on the popular 5522A Multi-Product Calibrator to better accommodate the roles of digital multimeters in the field. customer. The 5550A greatly improves the accuracy provided by the 5522-digit 5,5A digital multimeters, as well as its functionality. Featuring an intuitive graphical interface, the 5550A can calibrate popular handheld digital multimeters with higher Test Uncertainty Levels (TURs) and clamp meters up to 1500 A with continuous current output (30 A).

Flexible on-site and field calibration

The 5540A multi-product calibrator is another addition to the Fluke Calibration range. This calibrator extends the capabilities of the 5502A with higher levels of performance, making it an ideal solution for on-site or portable calibration of the most demanding field instrument capabilities. The 5540A is perfect for calibrating handheld digital multimeters with 4,5-digit resolution and higher TUR levels, as well as clamp meters up to 1500 A with DC output. Among the improvements introduced with respect to the 5502A are an increase from 20 A to 30 A of the continuous current output and the reduction of waiting times during its intensive use. This calibrator supports more types of thermocouples and an easy-connect thermocouple connector, which expands the ability to calibrate temperature. The 5540A can be fully calibrated with a Fluke 8,5A 8588-digit Reference Multimeter and shunted for full current range.

Wim Sibon, Technical Sales Director for Electrical Calibration at Fluke Calibration in Europe, stated: “During the last few years we have detected a greater demand, on the part of laboratories, for a much higher precision in their calibrators, as well as for multi-product solutions that free up space on the workbench and reduce costs. The 5560A calibrator provides just what the market needs and will help significantly increase the productivity of calibration labs around the world. This will allow our customers to meet the demand for more accurate measurements but with less experienced staff.”

“Fluke Calibration is committed to providing calibration labs with increased calibration capability and the latest developments within our range will allow lab technicians to carry out a greater volume of work with confidence. The 5502A and 5522A have been used by calibration labs for many years and we are excited to take their capabilities to a whole new level with the 5540A and 5550A Multi-Product Calibrators. Our complete range of powerful instruments, backed by over 50 years of continuous engineering improvements, are the result of the lifelong dedication of some of the best calibration experts in the world. At Fluke Calibration we are passionate about the science of measurement.”
