RECOM launches a new package variant for its popular 5W DC/DC series.
With the new REC5K-RW, RECOM now offers another option for customers requiring a wide input 5W DC/DC converter in an economical, industry-standard plastic DIP24 package. The input range is 9-36VDC, and the output is 5V nominal at 1A.
The REC5K-RW has agency-approved isolation of 4kVDC/1 second, 2kVAC/1 minute and features low ripple and output noise for demanding industrial and other high-end applications. It operates between -40°C and 110°C ambient, with power reduction. A remote on/off control is provided with a typical standby current draw of 3mA, and the part is protected against input undervoltage and output short circuits.
The REC5K-RW has UL 62368-1, C22.2 No. 62368-1 and IEC/EN 622368-1 safety certifications and operates up to 5000m altitude in a Pollution Degree 2 (PD2) environment. Class B conducted EMI levels can be met with a simple external input filter, and the MTBF is greater than 1,7MHrs at 25°C per MIL-HDBK-217F (GB).
