Circuit Analysis Using the Diode Critical Point Method
Roberto Pérez Serantes, Alberto Leira Rejas, and José Luis Calvo Rolle.
The diode is the semiconductor device par excellence, and therefore, it is used in multiple applications in the electronic field (rectifiers, clippers, duplicators, etc). It is essential to know how to analyze circuits in which these components appear, being the method of reduction to the absurd, the most used in Electronics. An alternative method is called the critical point, which can greatly simplify the analysis of complex circuits. Said method is used continuously by the authors of this article, in the teaching of Analog Electronics.
