PREMO PFC chokes, on Linear Technology chipset

The R&D department of Linear Technology in California has developed a new automotive battery charger, which incorporates the Premo reference PFC-001 shock. Engineer Tage Bjorklund comments “The results are surprisingly good. Compared to other chokes, the Premo choke reduces total losses by 5.7W, for both 120Vac and 220Vac input voltages, switching at a frequency of 63kHz.”
