Bluetooth offers wireless connectivity to a number of electronic devices such as laptop computers, digital organizers, digital cameras, mobile phones, pagers and wireless headsets. One of the reasons for this boom is because Bluetooth promises companies to build dedicated or semi-permanent networks without cables and connectors, as well as much less network administration. Bluetooth is not the solution for companies looking to manage data for multiple users on a company network. This is the job of 802.11a or 802.11b equipment.
