Until very recently, BERT (Bit Error Rate Tester) for high bit rates (up to 12,5 Gigabit per second and higher) consisted of separate non-modular equipment (Pulse Pattern Generators on the one hand and Error Detector on the other). and configuration is not easy or based on a friendly graphical environment.
