Phoenix Contact is expanding its screw connection program for two-piece SMD equipment connector housings. The new M12 screw connections for snap-in mounting on the rear wall compensate for process-related manufacturing tolerances between PCB and housing in two-part device ports. In this way, users can avoid effects of forces on the SMD soldering points and combine the comfort of automatic soldering processes with the security of defined device connections. Screw connections for socket contact carrier housings are available for various wall thicknesses between 0,9 mm and 3,0 mm. These allow easy integration into standard wall sections and can be mounted without tools with the appropriately colored fixing sleeves.
